Beginning your health & fitness journey may seem like its going to be very difficult at first but rest assured that once your body begins to adapt to all the nutrition & health changes it will be better and not as tough. Your body will begin to crave the yummie clean food & your workouts.
Here are some tips that helped me when I started:
1.grab a notebook or get the myfitnesspal app. & write/record everything that goes into your mouth. that is the best way to keep track of what your eating, and if your going to count calories, myfitnesspal is an awesome app to help withcalorie counting.
2.clean out your fridge. throw away ALL sodas,fruit juices,alcohol,fried food,white breads, pasta,fatty condiments,frozen dinners,etc.
3.Cook your own clean meals, you know what your meal is made of and you can improve the taste as your experiment. its fun.
4. Exercise. Take it from me, I used to NEVER exercise, I was always a couch potato. Once I begun, my body now craves running,30 day shred,insanity,p90x,weights. You should pick a exercise that you enjoy doing, there are so many to choose from, if you love swimming do that.
5.Planning your meals even your workouts AHEAD of TIME is very important. I cannot stress this enough. Sorting out my veggies, pre washing them, cut them up,measuring out my milk,my cereal, bagging & freezing my beef, chicken, turkey, fish, etc has helped soo much. Once everything is bagged up i sit down and plan my meals for monday -saturday. I also plan my cheat meal.
6.Be realistic about your goals. If you weight 200 lbs dont expect to lose 30 pounds in one month. That is NOT realistic and especially not HEALTHY. Your ideally suppose to lose 1-2lbs per week so do the math and plan realistic goals. YOU WILL GET THERE it just takes time.
7.If you dont exercise one day or eat a piece of chocolate or even the entire candy bar, MOVE ON. Dont hate yourself, dont put yourself down, its ok. Tell yourself your human, we ALL mess up we all have our tough & emotional days. Tomorrow will be better, Tomorrow you will be stronger and it will be a better healthier day. Learn from mistakes and keep going.
8. Lastly, let the people you care about know that you have decided to begin this healthy & fit journey. Tell them that their support will be very important for you because you will have your days that you want to quit and give up. Tumblr is a fantastic way to stay motivated, make friends with fellow Fiblrs/Fitspo’s and motivate each other. Im here if you ever need motivation or someone to talk to and will never judge you.
Remember YOU decided to change for the better, YOU need to start this journey knowing that it WILL be tough BUT you CAN & WILL finish. YOU are NO different than anyone one tumblr that have reached their goal. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF.
